Re: CRT FW900 Do you own one?

Maybe I should just get VR and do all my gaming on that then.

So CRT-motion-quality WUXGA (1920x1200) don't exist yet?
I've been using a CRT for 10 years and it's great in all aspects, except for one problem, which is that I've sort of out-grown the 19in UXGA screen area.
What I need is a screen with the same image-motion-quality, just larger. Doesn't matter what kind.
The only WUXGA screen with over 60hz I've ...

Re: Why have I never experienced stutter or tearing on my CR
Perhaps I just don't notice stutters that are less than 3 duplicate frames on 85hz. That'd explain why I never see it while my fps is over 40.
What's the acutal difference between stutters and micro-stutters though? Just the amount of duplicate frames?

Load this up on chrome. Do you see image doubling?

I see stuttering in both texts. I've never noticed it in games though, unless they drop to under 30fps maybe.

Why have I never experienced stutter or tearing on my CRT?
I've been using an UXGA CRT at 85hz for 10 years now, with many different GPUs, and I have at several occasions throughout these years had bad FPS to the point where I can't play a game (dropping under 30-40). However, I can't ever remember experiencing problems with tearing or stuttering. Do CRTs ...
