Re: 4k@240hz+ DSC
I wanna see monitor manufactures implement features like the zisworks monitor. If a 4k240hz monitor comes out they could have a integer scaled 1080p@480hz mode just by simply driving two pixel rows at once. So people who play competitive games could switch to a 480hz mode and use 4k240hz on the des...

Re: Good News Everyone: 60Hz Single Strobe Options
It does support vrr you have to enable it in frame throttle settings. it's called "sync to exact content framerate"thatoneguy wrote: ↑07 Jan 2021, 05:09I'm pretty sure Retroarch doesn't have support for VRR and speeds up(or slows down) everything to 60hz(yuck!).

Re: Good News Everyone: 60Hz Single Strobe Options
strobing at 60.1hz is easy or any other weird refreshrate used by retroconsoles. retroarch need's a easy way to change videomodes without using VRR. The MisTer fpga, ossc etc just change the pixel clock to alter the speed it works just fine on a single strobed monitor. issue with native 60hz devices...

Re: [Monitor Electronics Hack] World first zowie XL2540 240hz 60hz singlestrobe? Experiment.
Chief say in another post than currently can be designed LED backlight above 10,000 nits ! Seems, worth it do it ? enough sales ? If one manufacturer want make a beast high end strobe monitor, seems can do it. Of course brightness under user control during strobing, than more MPRT not enforce more ...

https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?p=62265#p62277 elexor , you have measured brightness during this experiment ? If not, aproximately how many nits you thing there are ? To compare brightness loss betwhen native 240Hz single strobe DyAc, and your mod single strobe 60Hz. In teory if both u...

Hey mark does this effect pixel response times with gsync enabled It sure seems like it does for me with it off it's much better for 60hz.

Re: Good News Everyone: 60Hz Single Strobe Options
So all 240Hz VT1125 monitors can theoretically do 60Hz VT4500, if its electronics are designed properly. my zowie does VT4860 when in blurreduction mode at 60hz I replicated this exactly with freesync enabled like you said. It works ok but the strobe quality is not as high. I'm thinking when you sw...

In theory, you could transmit the VSYNC signal using a PC app over USB cable and use heavy filtering to slew the VSYNC signal in a lag compensated manner (with phase adjustment feature). Both myself and ad8e have written VSYNC monitoring + filtering code (jitter filtering + missed VSYNC filtering) ...

Just get 3 monochrome ones and have it project color channels separately like those old crt projectors.
