Steam shader pre caching [CS2]

Post by Riggedinho » 16 Jul 2024, 17:34

Hey guys,

I noticed that this option really worked and that there is a gain in FPS but above all FPS stability so the game is smoother, this is very noticeable for me.

Steam has changed its interface a lot in recent years with hidden options (few people in the community talk about it) and that's shaking up our old habits a bit :D especially when the game we're playing is much harder to optimize than CS: GO already was.

I strongly recommend that people who do not have super beefy PCs absolutely leave this option by default and therefore activated.

I mean, this only works the first time you're in the map. Once you fully load it you don't need that Steam shader feature. I would not use it on CS2.
It's a waste of your resources for very little in return for a very short time.

Hi JimCarry

Yes shader disabled indeed I made an error of assessment.
As for launch options, I personally use none.
And then a lot of people have already said that putting launch options could be counterproductive. Back in the days of CS:GO a developer said he didn't recommend using the -high command.

As for the command you wrote I don't even dare to change anything as my game is perfect :D
