The problem, as indicated in the the initial topic, Faceit requires the activation of TPM & secure boot.
Microsoft will not do it, on the contrary they like to put obstacles in our way.
As a reminder, Windows 7 was the cream of the crop in terms of gaming OS, after 8.1 it's still good, after 10 at the start it wasn't too bad, not as good as version 7 but it was still decent and then the more we have progressed in time, the more the deployment of certain updates has broken things and Windows 11 is a real disaster (forced to install it with the internet which does not allow us to put the desired drivers, each license associated with a Microsoft account, crazy latency, compatibility problem, heavy OS etc... a real disaster).
But unfortunately the obsolescence of Windows 10 is coming soon.

you can still install win11 without internet. The new hardware was designed to work on w11, so if you have old hardware that was used with win7 or win10 you need to stay on w10, but if your hardware is new go with w11.
you can use ventoy with revi-config to stop driver and system auto-update.

Anyway, the fact that TPM creates crazy latency on systems is no longer an urban legend

Obviously TPM is garbage on gaming systems, as is Security Boot, Global C-State. All of these security features impose huge latency and should not be used on gaming systems. Let them be used in corporate versions of Windows. I'm sure windows copilot is also garbage, just like game bar.
Microsoft should release a gaming version of the operating system without this garbage.

Hello everyone,

For those suffering from CS 2 input lag on Faceit due to anti-cheat but not that look no further I've found the culprit. TPM 2.0 is the culprit !!!!


After buying a new PC I played almost fifty games without TPM (don't ask me why Faceit didn't ask me to activate it from the start, it's a strangeness) all my registration shots were unbelievable, my opponents seemed slow etc ... a really excellent game.

Then, after all these games on my new PC, one day I turned it on and, surprise, Faceit asked me to activate secure boot and TPM in the bios to be able to play on Faceit and, surprise again, the game was completely different, lagging, out of sync, strange movement etc. ...

Yesterday I searched the internet for comments on this subject and a bunch of results appeared, including two on Reddit that particularly caught my attention.

The first was in relation to Faceit and CS 2, a person complaining about a delay and a person replied that since the implementation of TPM his delay has appeared and that he suspected this cause and that he would soon buy a TPM header compatible with his motherboard to be able to disable TPM on his motherboard.

The second same, a person who complains of stuttering in Battlefield because of TPM since EA has deployed an anti-cheat (which also requires the activation of TPM) and several people in response to his post say they have taken a TPM header to solve this problem.

I'd like to point out that CS 2 in first deathmatch mode is perfect, it's only on Faceit that I'm left with no doubt, based on my experiences, that TPM is the ultimate culprit.

Thank God my motherboard has a TPM header, so in a week's time I'm going to order one compatible with my motherboard to confirm at 300%. I'm also lucky: TPM headers cost an average of $15.

On the other hand, I made a discovery (I'm going to make a topic about it) which is that the stability of FPS does not work without a certain default setting which is activated on Steam, this was implemented recently.



Because if I deactivate this option my FPS are not as stable.

If anyone has new asus boards anything past prime x670 (rog strix etc) they removed the TPM header so you cant buy one. i came to find out after i purchased the tpm module so just a heads up.

I am now considering to switch to ASRock b650 Taichi just because it has a TPM header. Fyi, i was orginally going for the ASrock x670e Taichi but i had to cancel my order because i found out that even that dosnt have a TPM header. I just hope that i am not downgrading by switching to Asrock as i have only owned Asus motherboards in the past.

Hope this info helps you guys and when i do have my new setup i will update you.

After a long test and with hindsight, even if the TPM protocol creates crazy latency, the external TMP module was not sufficient to resolve my problem.

Welcome to club... Ryzen 7800X3D bought this year, after few months of MM only for fun i tried newly faceit... Since first minute something is off, something is wrong, im skating, aim is rubberbanding... Nyeaaaaah. And i dont even have TPM module at gigabyte A620X gaming x to try my amazon luck
Time to downgrade to windows 10 or wait for renown and hope they dont fuck it up too.

Edit: after bios update to july 1.2.0.0 AGESA and bios reset after update it seems waay better, time to shine?
