My resolution in Windows is 1920 x 1080(native) 165Hz, perform scaling on: display, scaling mode: full screen. My monitor size is 27". My CS2 scaling is at 1280 x 1024 - 4:3. I need to play more and see if it's consistent, because the nature of this problem, in my case, the fix just slowly goes away overtime. I have also noticed some time ago, when I power on something that draws a lot of power, like a stove or a heater or a hairdryer, hit reg instantly becomes good and slowly degrades during the next 60 + minutes. Sometimes I just wiggle my cords under the table and I instantly feel the difference for a while, other times when I switch my resolution in game the hit reg becomes noticeably better and again, degrades overtime as you play the game.
Yes, before now I had not even tried Windows scaling ever, and it was not even a house it was an apartment, at his place everything was good as long as we played for like 2 hours, same ISP btw. Then I went back home, can't hit nothing. This was the place where I tried everything I explained in earlier post. After that I moved to a new place, 3 years old building, same ISP, same bad delays in games, now I live at a different place, in the house, same bad gameplay(all those places, including friend's, were in like 20 mile radius). And only now after I switched scaling to 120, this fix is the longest I had so far.SKILLEN wrote: ↑15 Jan 2025, 18:20You moved places and nowhere was good except in the friends house you tried? Then in your friends house it was good without scaling windows ,but in your place its good only when you make scaling ,with the same setup? Very strange. Scaling improve nothing in my case.
Everything was good on my old PC from 2011 until 2017ish, one time I loaded the game and I could not play no more because it was so bad. When this happened I started doing all of those testing and fixing. Now I have a brand new intel/Nvidia setup with the same issue. Couple months ago I bought another PC amd/nvidia just to see if there is a difference, nope, the same delay is everywhere(I returned that AMD setup). I've read tons of information about CS2 input lag/electrical lag/sync lag - all of those things you find on the internet is the exact explanation of what I have and no one knows what it is. I've read some were saying it's due to EMI, others "dirty" electricity. Many people were saying if you turn on an old iron for clothes, it fixes the issue, and believe me, it does, I tried! One dude bought a full on petrol generator to power on his stuff and it fixed the issue. At this point I am out of ideas, enthusiasm or hope how to fix it, I might as well just give up on competitive gaming =(
