Please advise me on a good Windows build.
Please advise me on a good Windows build.
Hi everyone. Please recommend a stable and balanced custom build of Windows 11. I've been using Atlas OS recently, but it's been running a bit slow on my computer, and it hasn't been updated for a while.
You need a build with disabled services, such as Cortana, Neirosearch, Xbox DVR, and others.

Why do you need a custom OS, do you have an old laptop or something ?F1zus wrote: ↑28 Aug 2025, 07:10Hi everyone. Please recommend a stable and balanced custom build of Windows 11. If not, I'd recommend doing a standard w11 and spending half an hour to remove useless stuff.

I didnt like it tho , when you change some random stuff in win10 mouse movement gets worse.
I use 1909 - 18363.1082
Edit: More detail to why i didnt like it:
You can feel less latency in games but it felt disconnected to me . Maybe at places with decent electricty it would be preferable
Re: Please advise me on a good Windows build.
I'd just get Windows 11 24H2 and clean it up myself. Otherwise, run ReviOS and be done with it.

KirbyOS is one of the things I go with when don't want to waste with windows settings etc, it's just really good feeling for me from installing.
Re: Please advise me on a good Windows build.
I am in the same boat as OP cuz I am about to go from windows 10 to 11 and I tried windows 10 ltsc before and it's feels OFF like something is wrong there also fps is a little bit lower than normal Windows it's yes lesa bloated but idk if you also felt the same as I doSlender wrote: ↑29 Aug 2025, 02:00windows 11 ltscF1zus wrote: ↑28 Aug 2025, 07:10Hi everyone. Re: Please advise me on a good Windows build.
My NTLite builds with parts of my scripts applied, like disabling GameBar. I have a lot of tweaks preapplied in the NTLite .xml that keep most things compatible.

VainOS. What speaks in its favor is stability. The guy releases a new playbook every 1-2 weeks, for example, he just added 25h2. I'm currently using 25h2, and I'd say it's better than 24h2, I'd compare it to LTSC, maybe even better than that. I've had XOS, Kernel, Sapphire, and Kirby(otherwise fine), but none of them were as smooth and reliable. I would recommend it.
