being listed as fully fiber optic ends up being the fully fiber optic cable that doesnt include copper? (non-hybrid, just full)

The data transmission part should be completely made out of optical fibers.
There is required USB power part, but the interconnect between the GPU & display is completely galvanically isolated.
Theoretically, it is the lowest EMI solution available AFAIK.

appreciate it very much, because of your comments i dug deeper and saw that the other $30 "fiber" cables talked about did in fact still use copper for some of the other parts, just not the main link. weirdly, they were advertised as fiber. so the average consumer would assume it's fully fiber even though it's like 70%.

so i just ended up buying this expensive ruipro one just to see if anything changes since it's considered fully fiber. i do have a UPS nearby and some other things near my DP cable so i'm gonna pull the trigger and see if i can notice any differences here. never thought i'd reach a point where i'm spending $130 on a DP cable lol, that's on the list for one of my dumbest purchases so far but i'll provide an update here when it arrives

It can only provide benefits in regards to this subject
How noticable & beneficial all of this will be is minor compared to having good hardware (correct I/O controllers) with proper tuning ('optimal stability')
IMO, most EMI talks are overexaggerated in these niche circles due to ignorance in regards to setting up DRAM & modern systems correctly.

oo that's a very useful link. i like the part where it shows how to properly position your PC and wire it properly, i have mine literally a mess right now. i'm gonna follow that eventually too when i have time

Which is why it's of utmost importance to have a specific hardware to correct whenever there's an error occurring, namely::
• Search for platforms which support side-band ECC UDIMMs / RDIMMs (e.g.: X99, AM4, AM5, W680, TRX50... generally ASRock & ASUS motherboards)
• good GPUs (3090ti, 4090, RTX 6000 Pro or other workstation cards) which have embedded ECC HW to correct errors from improper OOTB settings.

One could even extend this to logic to a custom OpenWRT-based x86-based router (with idle disabled), as they're devices which run 24/7

The Issue: Floaty aim feel kicks in after playing a game for about 10-15 minutes or so and once it starts, will not go away until PC is restarted only for the cycle to repeat again. The floaty aim feel can be described as an almost accelerated sensitivity aim feel where the cursor is not feeling in sync with what I am trying to do with the mouse (clown cursor). Instead of feeling 1:1 it would always feel very slippery and inaccurate.

From now on, I just use my 540hz monitor solely with my newer gaming PC via fiber optic DisplayPort cable and I use the old rig for my other two monitors.

You simply have dirty electricity. Interference from the wall outlet is transmitted to the monitor's power supply and then through the HDMI/DP cable directly to the graphics card, causing input lag. This has long been known. Monitor power supplies do a very poor job of filtering electricity. Therefore, if you have an external monitor power supply, it's best to connect it to your computer's power supply.
Yes, this doesn't solve the problem 100%; I believe even your computer's power supply also filters interference from the wall outlet.
