I'd like to do some testing using a LAN cable with my Realtek 5GbE adapter, instead of the USB TP-Link adapter.
One very important thing I've noticed: whenever I change the Transmit Buffers and Receive Buffers values, the game always feels different. Because of that, I'm curious what the optimal values are for CS2 or gaming in general.

Anything lower than 256 is really bad on Broadcom, however if you have a Qualcomm, Mediatek, Realtek chipset inside your router you can go lower without issues.
I would say best middle ground nowadays would be 1024 buffers. Work your way from here try higher and lower and see how it works for you.
IIRC usb type-c ethernet works very well with small buffers, whereas integrated Ethernet can sometimes have some issue with too low values (like packet loss or cpu overhead).
Worth also trying a NetAdapterCx type driver (which doesn’t let you set buffers) lots of people reported that it is working better for them compared to a more traditional NDIS type driver.
