For some reason the overdrive settings are only properly tuned at the correct EDID setting, if you use the monitor in the 360hz EDID, the overdrive is set properly on default when using it at 360hz. If you have the monitor on the 600hz EDID, the default overdrive setting is not as good at !360hz!. This is easily adjusted through the menu of the monitor and the help of testufo.com though
But in general the EDID setting just changes the capabilities the monitor reports to the computer.
