NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, ToastyX, black frame insertion (BFI), and now framerate-based motion blur reduction (framegen / LSS / etc).

The update is out, I'm at work, nooooo, if the 120hz is close to 60hz clarity, I'm just gonna run 120hz :D from now on

I am sad to report that 1.1.8 does not solve the no pulsar after display sleep issue. At least not for me. I still have to run the monitor in 240Hz desktop to work around the issue. This is on 4080 SUPER.

New firmware update states: "reduced input lag for 240 Hz Pulsar/ULMB2". Is this referring to input lag when the monitor is set to 240hz and pulsar or ulmb2 are enabled? Apart from those who experience issues with dsc is there any other reason for using 240hz pulsar instead of 360hz? Whereas I can see a use case for 240hz ulmb2 over 360hz ulmb2 due to duplicated images when framerate is lower than refresh rate, I cant really think of one for Pulsar (apart from dsc issues).

Even with the DSC issue using my 4080 SUPER I still run games at 360hz. I just set my Windows desktop to 240hz work around the issue which is no big deal. It's probably less wear on the monitor than running 360hz all the time. It's not like the Start menu is going to start tearing at 240hz. :)

holy moly 120 global strobe is CLEAR

This is the best picture I got freehanding my phone at 4920px/sec (1/30sec shutter used) It's so fast that it's hard to get a fully clear pursuit outside of just the center of the photo.

There is very slight crosstalk showing at the very top of the screen and the lower ~1/4 of the screen. It's shown in the photo trailing the lower white frog (moving right to left), it's not at all bothersome to me especially with such a massive clarity jump.

I'll see how well I can do getting an mprt photo

Feels about the same to me flipping back and forward, I don't have actual hardware that measures the nits for sure.

MPRT photo of 120hz ULMB 10PW

Using 5760px/sec to get the 0.3ms bars!
We are at the speeds where you can barely even keep up with your eyes. Definitely very happy with the addition of this mode :D

You think the reason they are hesitant to release standard 240hz and 360hz high quality ulmb2 because they need people to upgrade to there newer models down the line or because people with amd gpus who will just use this mode over pulsar that they can't :D
