I agree, you're really not getting what you pay for with inaccurate colour that Zowie uses.

It's a QD-based panel, what "inaccurate colors" are you referring to?
If you're referring to contrast ratio, you can attempt the screen protector route.
As for the "you're not getting what you pay for" claim:
It's still the best QHD@240–360Hz backlight strobing experience on the market.
The best part about it is that it achieves this on a 24.1" QHD format, leading to a ~122 PPI
Is it eye-wateringly expensive at the 950eur asking price? Yes, I wish they would've targeted the 600-700eur price range instead.
Is it the best in slot backlight strobing model? Yes it is. Other QHD/4K models are dreadful at backlight strobing.
Especially if you limit yourself to the 24" QHD segment, where only models such as the Titan Army P245MS Pro (available in China, Russla, Japan, Malaysia for 1/4 the price, QD MiniLED IPS) compete with the XQ2566X due to not being plagued by KSF/PFS.
Let's hope that Zowie will re-consider the asking price or lower the price at some point...

This is the first time I've seen anyone mention this "trick", could you please explain how exactly it improves the image? it is just putting a glossy coating on top of the matte one so you dont get that grainy look? I'm also wondering if there's any way to improve viewing angles on TN panels. I was thinking about picking up an older Zowie monitor to use backlight strobing at 60Hz, but in my experience, TN panels image shift completely if you move your head even a little, and it gets really annoying.

See here
1.) You shouldn't use backlight strobing at 60Hz, for the sake of your eye's health.lumi2007 wrote: ↑Today, 02:58I'm also wondering if there's any way to improve viewing angles on TN panels. 2.) You cannot improve viewing angles on a TN LCD.
Those MBR-based 144@FHD BenQ's are a mediocre solution on the impulsed display path.
