Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV
Seemingly my unit completely stopped functioning Gsync all together. MPO is unsupported, no matter what I do.
Wonder if my unit is faulty or something else going on, like the sleep related bug/issue but just permanent.

Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV
Are you guys seeing a bug with pulsar and vsync enabled causing much higher pc latency as reported by the nvidia overlay? For example vsync on with reflex caps to 320fps and the average pc latency bugs out and starts getting stuck at 12-14ms. Disabling vsync and setting in game fps cap to the same 320fps results in around 4.5ms average pc latency.
Is my monitor defective? Im using the acer version with the latest firmware, just asking in here since its by far the most popular thread.
edit; same experience someone had here with the asus version five months ago... https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comme ... ks_fps_to/

Does anyone here have the Acer model? I have a few friends who bought the acer model and one of them received their monitor today, did the firmware update and Gsync pulsar had some weird inverse ghosting artifacts and some other issues with ULMB 2 mode. Currently asked them to do a DDU driver wipe and reflash the firmware to latest to see if it fixes it but I'm curious to see if anyone else is having this issue on latest 1.1.8 firmware on acer. Also WOW acer's menus are a lot less intuitive than Asus and it's really hard to help anyone troubleshoot settings... can't even see what version of firmware you are on the acer one.

i have it, i'm not seeing anything weird on mine, i just bought it from woot a few days ago, i tried ulmb2 60hz and 120hz and it looks crystal clear on motion. no issues on pulsar either so far. there is a separate thread for that monitor probably better to ask there.liquidshadowfox wrote: ↑01 Aug 2026, 19:51Does anyone here have the Acer model? using a 4080 and DisplayPort if that info helps at all, latest nvidia driver and latest firmware on monitor

Happy to report the issues went away after doing a full DDU wipe. I think when this monitor gets detected, nvidia should recommend a full driver wipe and re-install. Otherwise people who regularly update drivers might run into issues possibly lol, hopefully this isn't widespread but I'm happy to see the issue is gone on my friend's monitor.zyb3z wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026, 13:47i have it, i'm not seeing anything weird on mine, i just bought it from woot a few days ago, i tried ulmb2 60hz and 120hz and it looks crystal clear on motion. no issues on pulsar either so far. there is a separate thread for that monitor probably better to ask there.liquidshadowfox wrote: ↑01 Aug 2026, 19:51Does anyone here have the Acer model? I'm tempted by getting this monitor. It is 8% off on Amazon where I live at 630€. I hesitate with the AOC model (AG276QSG2) at 655€.
Normally I'd take the lower price but I also have an AOC 4K IPS dual monitor that I quite like. Any thoughts ?

I purchased the Acer pulsar at this price and already returned it. The 320fps bug with vsync is still alive after six months with no word from Nvidia about working on the fix. The IPS glow was the worst I have seen, possibly defective levels. The viewing angles were so bad that if you were sitting dead center of the monitor the system time on the bottom right of the screen was blurred or washed out, moving your head to the right cleared it up. My previous IPS monitors never looked this bad.liquidshadowfox wrote: ↑Yesterday, 13:09Right now on woot the acer Gsync pulsar monitor is going for like $380 so it's an absolute steal lol
After having both on the desk I have gone back to the Acer 500hz oled that was $500 last month. It has usable HDR with amazing blacks and viewing angles. The pulsar monitor wins for motion clarity but the 500hz oled isn't that far behind in my opinion.

what's the 320 fps bug? how would I see it on the acer monitor? My friends who bought it said they didn't see any IPS glow and the viewing angles were decent compared to their 280 hz OLED. One of them is deciding whether to stick to the 280 hz OLED or sticking with pulsar, another is coming from an old Dell Gsync native 25" QHD model that is 165 hz I think so I'm sure he will be happy with the upgrade. Another friend had an issue with strobing on pulsar looking "off" but after a DDU and driver re-install it looks like everything is working as intended so waiting to see what happens there.Tell wrote: ↑Yesterday, 13:36I purchased the Acer pulsar at this price and already returned it. Its a pulsar monitor only bug that bugs out and caps to 320 which causes the full Vsync lag penalty. It's as if the monitor thinks the maximum refresh rate of the monitor is 320Hz instead of the actual 360Hz.liquidshadowfox wrote: ↑Yesterday, 14:15what's the 320 fps bug? how would I see it on the acer monitor? This was still happening running the latest pulsar firmware 1.18 combined with the latest nvidia driver 610.88.
