So moving did fix it

Separate area for niche lag issues including unexpected causes and/or electromagnetic interference (ECC = retransmits = lag). Interference (EMI, EMF) of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction latencies like a bad modem connection. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI. Please read this before entering sub-forum.

I don't think there's a real solution to this problem yet, and it's been around since 2005 or 2009. A petition on Reddit should be started (though it probably won't help).

I think a computer parts manufacturer might be able to solve this problem.
You'll also find many posts where people say they have a 240Hz or higher monitor but it feels like 60Hz.

It's the same electrical problem, but they don't realize it. That's why the problem is so widespread.

Just a suggestion

Lol, petition for what? To get a free $10,000 re-wiring by your state because the PC is not working correctly? And they won't fix it because a PSU cannot fix bad wiring, at least not consumer PSUs, you would need industrial-level PSUs for several thousand dollars which would be able to fully isolate the PC from every wiring fault and lane disturbance, and they won't mass produce those for those few people that would actually buy it (and PSU like that would be like 2x bigger in size than regular PSU, so it won't even fit in PC).

Lol, I got a chance to test a friend’s gaming laptop. He brought it over fully charged, and I also tested it on battery just to rule out any power-related issues. Turns out, it has the exact same problem as my desktop PC

Desync, sluggish character, bad hitreg... whatever you guys call it
If he lives nearby or even within an 11 mile radius. theres a chance all electricity via electric grid is being sent as dirty electricity. its no suprise when many others on this forum have gone to gaming cafes to rent pcs or from apartment to apartment just to find the issue still occurs everywhere they go. unless youve seen gameplay from his house and seen that his game was working normally at his. now youve got to go his house and test there.
So does that mean that if I went somewhere completely isolated, with no houses, no infrastructure, basically NOTHING around, and took a laptop + mobile data with me, I shouldn’t have the problem anymore?

He lives around 30km away from me, in a completely different city. So I’m going to take my PC over to his place and test it there. I’ll also be able to test his own gaming laptop while I’m there, which should make for a pretty interesting comparison.

Interestingly, there are at least two older houses near mine with solar panels. My house is probably the only newer house on the street. But as you said, all the houses around here are connected to the same power grid anyway.

At my previous house there were no solar panels, though, and the problem was still happening constantly

I’ll keep updating the thread if I notice any change.

Believe me, if they wanted to solve the problem, they would. It's the same story; there was an electrical problem with the sound system, and it was solved with the simplest solutions. But the problem of lag in games is something many people don't know about. They basically think their performance is bad because of their age or because they're not a professional. But the truth is, they have this problem and they're completely unaware of it.

First of all, you don't even know the real cause of the problem. Don't tell me it's newer wiring. I've tried my computer in more than four or five houses, and the problem persists. And if you fixed the problem, you wouldn't be posting on this forum. Give me one video of you moving your mouse in the BIOS and on the desktop, showing your hands. I don't want you filming games. Don't tell me it's just wiring. By the way, I also tried solar power; my computer worked on it, and the problem still persists. Everyone who suffers from this problem knows that anything you do improves performance once for a short period, and you can't repeat the experiment. Maybe it will only work after a while. Simply run your computer on a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) that's disconnected from the mains. It should provide clean power, but the problem still exists. The problem was a cable issue, as you mentioned initially.

Sometimes the problem disappears late at night, and recently it was gone for four whole days without any intervention on my part.
Where were the cables you're talking about? Did they go on vacation and then come back and tell me I shouldn't be enjoying the games? Here's another input delay issue.

Please upload the videos I requested, along with your new cables, so I can look into your case. I repeat, if you actually solved the problem, you'll disappear from this forum. I know many people who spent a lot of money and still couldn't fix this issue, and you're telling me it's just cables.

Sorry, I'm using Google Translate.

As long as you have problems only in multiplayer games it is not worth wasting any more time investigating this, because in this case the cause is OBVIOUSLY on server side, or some kind of internet issue related to your location (that's why simply changing ISP doesn't do anything).

Only when you would have choppy and slow windows UI animations, laggy and floaty mouse, audio/video desync, blurry and unclean image, 60hz feeling etc. in desktop, chrome, bios etc. as well, then it is worth investigating.

no bringing your laptop to a place with nothing around wont do anything. its about the electricity. if you charged the battery with bad electricity from your house, it doesn't matter where you go. it will still have it most likely.

This is bs btw, my desktop does not feel like 60hz or any of these things. but I KNOW my inputs are effected and that it is not input delay as ive done everything you can think of to no avail. the issue exist within single player games and outside of desktop although it simply doesn't matter as much and is difficult to showcase outside of games. I wouldnt just not investigate just because of those things you've mentioned. and regardless, anyone that thinks they have an issue would try there hardest to fix it anyway.

There is no such thing as "storing" "bad electricity". @ChiefBlurBusters already debunked this several times. Stop spreading misinformation. Not even audophiles are this delusional.

Yes this is not correct, a battery cannot "store" any kind of wiring fault or electrical noise, no matter how broken your wiring is and how much harmonics there is in electricty from your socket, as long as you don't have laptop plugged in the battery will provide clean DC power
