A relatively bright BFI implementation compatible with VRR & HDR? I would've thought this should be generating more curiosity, unless the AI is mis-informed on this particular subject.
Another implementation which sounds promising is the MSI 322UR X24 which is also compatible with HDR, confirmed by TFT Central & DisplayNinja, though seemingly less bright and incompatible with VRR.
Thoughts?

It misinformed you.
It's the typical 1/2 refresh rate BFI with a maximum effective motion clarity equal to the native refresh rate.
Or more simply worded: When you set the refresh rate to 120 Hz and enable “Ultra Clear”, you achieve a effective motion clarity of 240Hz (4,1667 ms)
The actual OLED techonology to look out for are the new panel-based BFI's, which I believe aren't on the market yet.
Hopefully they'll target more aggressive duty cycles (10:90) on those ones, but I don't have my hopes up based on this information
