Finding root cause/fix

This subforum is for advanced users only. This separate area is for niche or unexpected lag issues such as electromagnetic interference (EMI, EMF, electrical, radiofrequency, etc). Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

No point talking to this wannabe tekken master, he thinks he's so special with this problem that 99% of the world have no chance of having what he has. Haha, what an absolute moron.

Borat you got caught lying no one take you seriously. You said you fixed this problem and you want to know why "you have so much advantage" over other players because you move cables (holy cringe) and called me shit at games but refuse to provide proof of your "26K in cs2 premier, faceit level 10" account.

I have no clue what you are trying to saysimon wrote: ↑13 Sep 2026, 05:46Can you really say no matter if your game is input lag free or not, your enemies still see you the same way and are able to hit you the same way? No.MaleGigolo wrote: ↑11 Sep 2026, 20:42Nonsense. You have no arguments and your coping that everyone has this problem when that is simply not true most people just turn on their PC and enjoy input lag free experience. You are susceptible to placebo like most tweakers that's why you claim this problem is a mix of everything because you make random changes and you think you achieved something. I guess keep moving cables and making random changes to your PC and still being stuck in low ranks while 99% of players don't have to do any of that and only have to practice to get better.playa wrote: ↑11 Sep 2026, 17:39Yep, it does, doesn't change the fact that i still have a visible advantage in games, seeing opponents before they see me, better hit registration etc. What you don't seem to understand after decades of being around this "problem" is that everyones experience actually fluctuates. It's just that the baseline "good" seems to be better for some peopleMaleGigolo wrote: ↑11 Sep 2026, 16:01
Sure buddy. And in your previous comments you said how moving cables and doing random tweaks changes the way your mouse behaves lmao.
Becoming unhitable when playing input lag free is what exactly? Moving faster from your enemies POV or them slowing down in your crosshair? Is it skill? It's an advantage you're not controlling in any way with your reaction time or a million years of practice...
The biggest question is why everyone assumes the best of everything is "the normal"? The brightest and clearest picture, the smoothest game and best hits without recoil. Basically all the best, right? Because it was meant to be like that for everyone? Think about it for a sec..
99% of the players have neither, the best or the worst. Because it would stand out immediately. So, where is the normal?
I know it's hard to comprehend the scope of it when you haven't played a thousand games with the same enemy and also got to see everything from their POV.

I believe that can cause some confusion to people or create misunderstandings and on consequence make harder to others to determinate the root cause, it has been for some of y’all more than 10
years without an answer or with a proper solution. Also I feel so frustrated how people can just literally plug and play without any type of issue.
I think is a nice idea to create a paper or some proper documentation apart from the forum for this, I do volunteer to that with someone else who has some proper knowledge of this. For doing this I’ll need to collect as many data as possible otherwise would be really hard to determine or find some type of solution.
I think I should give my posture on the root cause. I completely believe is the body and ngl is so hard for me to admit it because it literally makes no sense, but if it wasn’t the body and it’s electricity simply moving to another place would fix it, playing with a whole different setup and place or using a laptop battery would just fix this. Again for the people who believe is electricity go ahead and play on a LAN or cybercafe and ask why among all people why you are the only one who feel this lag. Again blaming an electrical reason is the most “logical” thing to do, but if you start removing causes it all lead to the same thing which is YOU.![]()
I’ve managed to shield my controller with socks + nitrile gloves on my hands. I can play with the results and also replicate the issue any amount of times and make the lag stronger or weaker, also I’ve noticed changing the grip removes the lag completely for seconds.
Anyway, I think the most optimal thing is to start actually looking for something concrete and not just suppositions or “magical” fixes (like moving, new hardware, specialized electrical equipment, etc.)
yeah bro at this point the best thing to do for the people who believe its the body causing that issue is make a message to find a group of scientists who can analyze this problem but i think its gonna be very hard to find..

Re: Finding root cause/fix
The problem lies with the electricity, not the body.
This is a YouTuber I know who puts on a good performance, and his name is badboyy2k
A month ago, he moved to a new house, and his performance has deteriorated—though he doesn't even realize he’s facing this issue. Since the move, he has been swapping out his mouse and constantly tweaking his in-game settings, unaware that the move itself is the root of the problem.
Simply compare his streams from a month ago with his recent ones, and you’ll notice that his performance has declined since moving to the new house.

in my case its body related i tried in many different location with or without my devices and the problem follow me everywhere even on a friend setup who have no input lag problem, his house was built in 2022 and i still have itunexpected8 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 06:49The problem lies with the electricity, not the body.

No scientist would take you seriously. The brain and heart do produce electromagnetic fields but they are extremely weak and there is no evidence that humans can naturally produce significantly higher frequency or stronger EM emissions capable of interfering with electronics. I'm more interested in the fact that body can act as an antenna and reradiate electromagnetic fields to nearby electronics and static electricity can also affect electronics through ESD so who knows.slader wrote: ↑Yesterday, 06:24SweatHatesMe? wrote: ↑01 Sep 2026, 01:20I’ve read tons of posts about this input lag issue and if I’m honest with y’all, I think we haven’t documented this nice or on a strict way. The only way to find out would be to wear a Faraday suit or to build a DIY faraday cage with shielded gloves and play using a wireless mouse and keyboard. Something like this:

You’re only thinking about the EMF aspect, and even with that approach, you also need to account for grounding. You’re completely ignoring the magnetic field here; a Faraday cage doesn’t prevent this.—such as the 50–60 Hz fields from electrical wiring, or other magnetic fields present in the environment you’re in.MaleGigolo wrote: ↑Yesterday, 16:01No scientist would take you seriously. Also, if you’re living in an environment where you’re constantly exposed to EMF, magnetic fields, electric fields, etc., you don’t actually know how these different fields affect your body. So doing an experiment under only these specific conditions doesn’t really tell you much. And since you’re not going to live the rest of your life under those exact conditions anyway, the whole thing is basically pointless.

Can be grounded easily and there are ways to shield against magnetic fields as well just much more expensive and would require a different approach. I'm just sharing random ideas. If i had money to waste i would build something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MaeJbd1xaM to at least document this problem even if no one is going to believe me just for the peace of mind.
