Before performing the fix, you need to clear your mind and let go of all your mental hang-ups and beliefs.
Let me say right off the bat that the claim about electricity and EMI is a lie.
I have an ungrounded outlet and aluminum wiring from the 90s, and I haven't had any problems.

I finally solved the desync and input lag issue.
To do this, I had to take certain steps:
0. Use the Media Creation Tool to download Windows to a USB flash drive.
0.1 Update your BIOS to the latest version and follow the official instructions from the motherboard manufacturer.
After updating the BIOS, do not clear CMOS!
You just need to reset the settings to default via BIOS
1. Set Secure Boot to "Custom" mode and load the default keys.
If "Standard" mode is currently active, your system is not functioning correctly; you need to reinstall Windows and select "Custom" mode with default keys before proceeding with the installation. To avoid hidden issues, you should reset the CMOS and restore BIOS settings to default before installing Windows.
2. XMP/DOCP/EXPO disabled; JEDEC must be used.
You need to use only the JEDEC profile of your RAM and no manual settings!
viewtopic.php?t=15770&start=20#p128261
3. You need to fully update Windows and update all applications via the Microsoft Store, as some of them are important system components.
4. Install the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's official website, then update the chipset and GPU drivers.
You do not need to manually remove previous versions of the chipset and GPU drivers; the chipset or GPU installer itself will correctly remove the old driver version.
5. Enable GPU scaling in the driver control panel and leave the 3D settings at default.
6. Do not disable DyAc/GSync/AMD FreeSync technology or its equivalents.
And stick to the monitor's default settings; all you need to do is change the Mode/GameVisual setting to FPS mode.
Try to buy eSports monitors, as they're configured for competitive gaming right out of the box.
I advise you to avoid monitors with DSC technology!
7. Plug the mouse into a USB port connected directly to the processor, and the keyboard into a chipset-controlled port; ensure nothing else is connected to the keyboard's line.

Do not use Motion Sync technologies, etc.
8. Enable NVIDIA Reflex and AMD Anti-Lag 2 in the game.
9. Do not use ultra-mega low-latency tweaks.
Do not change the power plan, timers, priorities, etc.
Give up tweaks entirely.
10. Use `fps_max 400` for 144–360Hz monitors, and set it to 600 for 500–600Hz monitors.

Completely wipe your SSD/HDD:

Disable all telemetry options.
Image
Windows settings:
Disable mouse acceleration.
Increase the microphone volume.
Increase the volume.

That’s all; there is no need to touch anything else. Do not change system timers, power plans, etc.

Restart the system with Windows Fast Startup. For example, you went out for some errands and turned off your computer, and after you come back and turn it on, you need to wait for the system to fully load and then restart it.

CS2 settings:
Add the command `-allow_third_party_software` to the CS2 launch options.
Video settings for CS2 - viewtopic.php?t=15770&start=10#p128197

Network:
Buy a high-quality CAT8 cable with a good connector, as cheap RJ45 connectors constantly break the latches and the connection becomes unstable.
Use the best provider in your city.
Use your provider's equipment.
Don't change any settings on your router, don't touch anything, and don't update the firmware.
Don't use gaming VPNs, ExitLag, etc.
Don't use DPI bypasses as you will get CPU load and your packets will be sent out of sync etc.

Devices:
Use devices from brands that manufacture products for esports as well.
Why do pro players choose Logitech mice? The secret lies in the sensor placement.
Choose a brand that doesn't release new firmware every day—it’s simply madness.
A good brand is one that produces a finished product.
I recommend purchasing an AM5/Ryzen CPU.

What are the advantages?
  • Easy driver installation — a single package includes multiple drivers, whereas Intel has a huge number of driver files that need to be installed in the correct sequence — a very old‑fashioned method.
  • By buying a Ryzen CPU, you immediately get the full potential of the processor and don’t need to bother with settings or overclocking.
  • No clunky workarounds with cores like with Intel.
  • Lower TDP and greater stability than Intel.
  • AMD 3D V‑Cache: the L3 cache size increases by 2–3 times compared to conventional processors.

I'm not lying; there's no point.
I'll explain a few points.
1. Why did I decide to use Jedec instead of XMP/EXPO?
Answer: I had a gaming laptop that didn't have abnormal input lag, desynchronization, etc., and I noticed that the RAM was running on the Jedec profile.
And I've recently looked at the top-end gaming laptops, and they all use Jedec profiles!

2. Why do I need to switch Secure Boot to Custom mode?
Answer: I checked the official guide from the motherboard manufacturers, and they say you need to enable Custom mode!
For the record, I have a Gigabyte motherboard, and Standard mode is set by default. I don't know why they did it that way, but that mode is for different purposes!

I could go on and on, but you can find all the information yourself. The point is that all the information is taken from official sources! And the system should work correctly!

Here comes that greenhorn again, cluttering up the forum. I’m not even going to read this nonsense. When are they going to ban you? Maybe we’ll start insulting you as soon as you post something? And automatically lock your posts? I think that’s a good idea—not everything written on forums is true. It’s 2026; this problem has been going on for 11 years. Some people get lucky, others don’t! Guys smarter than you have scoured the entire internet and double-checked everything possible—yet you just keep spewing nonsense.

Here we go again....just one question for you and try to answer....

People who don't know anything about computers simply buy a PC, leave everything at the default settings, keep Secure Boot in Standard Mode, install CS2, and just play. They don't have any desync, input lag, etc...HOW???????? just ban this guy please.

How many more times are you going to solve the input lag issue?

I genuinely don't want to argue. I'm asking respectfully and kindly because I'm not sure which of your guides or explanations we're supposed to be following.
