I also had some eye strain, but after a few days it went away. I stuck with 45 brightness default everything else that seemed to help, I think originally I had it too dim.

I've been mainly using it without strobing, haven't got the time to play games atm. So the main fatigue is coming from either the colors/gamma or something visually from the monitor. Can't quite grasp what exactly.
That's very interesting, but I'm with you, I don't know what it is but it's definitely there and noticeably compared to my XL2546K or other IPS panels I've used in the past. Maybe it's something with this new Innolux panel, who knows.

But for me I think it's going to be cause to return the monitor because I never had discomfort with any monitor like I did last night after a full day of using the XG2431...

It's a very saturated and piercing display without back PureXp on. I was using without Pure Xp because I wanted to find out what the input lag potential could be. Unfortunately it's too loose a feeling for me. It's weird as it's a super clear image but I feel disorientated with fast movement.

What do you mean it feels loose? Switching back and forth between the XG2431 and my XG2546K I don't notice any different in input lag, but maybe I don't know what to look for.

I'm playing Overwatch. It's hard to explain, It's sort of like driving a car with a softer suspension, like everything is smoother but if you want to compete in an F1 race you miss the precise control. You can compete with a car with a softer suspension but you'll need to compensate and get used to the feeling of it.

It could be that I'm coming from a G7 for a year and a half and have been using the Asus 25 inch 280hz for a few weeks and historically haven't used strobing in the past.

It could also be that it's a smaller monitor and the center is a smaller area I find during fast action stuff my crosshair can get lost or maybe I see more stuff on the peripherals that I wasn't noticing previously and because it's so clear it can make me lose my focus. I dunno I find that I don't know what I'm looking at sometimes.

My instinct is to blame it on input lag because that's what it feels like but it could just be My muscle memory and how I interact with a super clear monitor that is smaller.

Right now It's boxed up and ready to be shipped back to Amazon, but maybe I should force myself to play for a day or 2 to see if It's a muscle memory thing

I felt the same way when using this monitor. I was coming from a 24.5 inch and the size difference to 23.8 wasn't major. For me the movement felt a bit jittery in games and I wasn't able to track my opponents as well (Halo, Apex etc)

I had left it to muscle memory as well and played for a few days with the monitor but felt like I was slower than everyone. I also tried to time the vibration on my controller but not sure what to make of it. Would love to hear from some other console and PC players with this monitor on how gaming has felt for them.

I just unboxed it again..., One thing I didn't try was using HDMI, I wonder if there's a difference. I know that with an Aorus monitor I had HDMI was alot better.

Hmm, it seems like HDMI works much much better than Display port. I'm actually liking this. WTF man, I hate monitors, why do they have to be so F**king quirky.

What exactly "works much better"? Could you elaborate? Input lag, eye fatigue, motion performance?

What are you talking about?

HDMI should never be better than DP.

Input lag is better for me. Motion performance, everything.
