I am asking cause of PUBG where my fps fluctuates from 180 to 410.
this is relevant with every form of motion blur reduction, Dyac being one of them.

To be fair, FPS > refresh rate can look very ugly with blur reduction unless the FPS is double (overkill) or more than double the refresh rate.axaro1 wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 11:04I explain why you don't want fps<refresh rate here: viewtopic.php?p=80379#p80379daviddave1 wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 10:39ty for the answer. someone confused me by saying uncapped fps makes the Dyac not work ( optimal) do you maybe like to elaborate on that? At 165 hz, 165 FPS looks great, but 220 FPS looks atrocious. In fact it's bad enough that it messes up my aim. But once you reach 330 FPS or higher, all you have to deal with is the tearing.

I dare to disagree.Falkentyne wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 13:17To be fair, FPS > refresh rate can look very ugly with blur reduction unless the FPS is double (overkill) or more than double the refresh rate.

At 240hz tearing perception is much lower compared to 144/165hz, I used to play with the 2546K at 240hz w/Dyac and a 250fps cap and tearing wasn't an issue, fps fluctuations were somewhat noticeable but more from a frame pacing standpoint than from a tearing one. if he can achieve 299fps consistently he'll get good results, especially now that the 190+fps issue has been fixed in Apex.

Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
Hi guys!
I just got this monitor and with the default settings (Mode FPS 1 and DyAc+ Premium) it just seems to have a somewhat strange feeling of some input lag compared to my Omen x25f (response time level 3). So I play Quake Live at 250fps, standard NVCP v-sync off, fixed refresh/highest avail. at 240hz with LLM on. I was really curious to see what Dyac+ would feel like and it's weird because it feels just a bit smoother than the x25f but at the same time I feel this input lag penalty and there is this weird visual "bug" sometimes where the shot is on top of the model as in a straight line but it doesn't register. I'm having some trouble getting ToastyX configured and I haven't yet tried the Blurbusters Strobe Utility. Do you think they might help "fixing" this issue?
Thanks in advance and apologies if this is not the proper place to discuss this.

Congratulations! You've just discovered the true QL netcode
Sure, there're some additional latency added on top of enabled DyAc (or any other motion blur reduction mode), but your issue has nothing to do with the monitor itself. Try other games and see how it goes.

Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
Not my case. With my 2546k, atleast in csgo and in my setup, the game looks jittery as hell anywhere from 250-380+ fps. It's not until around 400+ fps that the game looks smooth. I dont know if its normal or supposed to be like thisaxaro1 wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 13:40I dare to disagree.Falkentyne wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 13:17To be fair, FPS > refresh rate can look very ugly with blur reduction unless the FPS is double (overkill) or more than double the refresh rate.

Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
Use the factory menu to fine tune the OD Gain to get the best balance between ghosting (smearing) and overdrive RTA artifacts (black or purple or other unpleasant color "corona" trailing images). This usually depends on the common color transitions in any particular game, as a black to white, or white to black transition may respond differently than a red to blue or blue to green one. The AMA setting in the OSD simply links to three pre-defined presets for OD Gain. On the XL2746S, OD Gain 15 offers the best image with DyAc=Off, and OD Gain 28 seems to be a good compromise with DyAc=On. The "K" monitors seem to have more aggressive tuning than the S monitors.
Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
Does anyone know of a chart or infographic or just a list showing the brightness/nits level of this monitor at all its different strobing modes/options?
Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
hey, i can get this resolution working but i cant access the OSD. It only gives out of range errors or enters the service menuBubbleFishHK wrote: ↑22 Mar 2021, 16:491600 vt
This is my current setting for overwatch
The monitor would say out of range, just click back on s-switch twice the remove the out of range overlay
with 100 brightness, extreme ama and extreme dyac.
when i set to 200hz just black screen but 199 works.
same setting with 180hz have almost 0 crosswalk.
