Interesting. Do you notice any perceivable difference when bypassing the chipset in This manner?Boomchakadah wrote: ↑03 Aug 2023, 02:32FYI, all USB ports on Intel go through the Chipset. If you have an 11th gen intel CPU or newer, the primary M.2 slot is connected directly to the CPU. You can use a USB to M.2 adapter in that slot to bypass the chipset. I'm using this one.

XHCI on = USB 3.0LAGenjoyer666 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2023, 07:48Thank you for useful video. Do you know should i have xhci on or off in bios.andreeeeee- wrote: ↑05 Aug 2023, 07:37YesLAGenjoyer666 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2023, 07:28I have Ryzen 5900x so i guess i can connect directly to cpu?

XHCI off = USB 2.0
In the video, his USB controller connected directly to the CPU was USB 3.0
("AMD Matisse/Vermeer - USB3 XHCI Controller")
I'm not sure if this controller would disappear in case you disable XHCI in BIOS, or if it would simply act as a USB 2.0 Controller still connected directly to the CPU.
I guess it's worth to try both (on and off) and check accordingly the video instructions.
