I can't track the target correctly on any mouse pad. However, I can track it with zero lag on a wooden table, cardboard, and some fabric sheets.

No, I rely on evidence to determine if there is input lag. I took a video and you can check it out. On other surfaces, this delay is completely non-existent. A mouse pad has only one purpose, and that is to provide good tracking. I tested the Artisan Ninja FX Zero today and did a lot of testing. I found that this mouse pad has very low input latency.
