I mean there is a physical switch behind the PSU, you can choose whether single rail or multirail, what do you have there?

Even though this was already cause enough for me to believe that electricity could not have any impact, I still went on to order a double conversion online UPS and an isolation transformer to make extra sure. And, as expected, neither made a difference at all. The last step was to try my setup ...

So the hardest thing about fixing this electricity or mystery issue is finding a way to consistently reproduce the issue. If we just go by "oh it feels like there's less input lag" it's not easy to quantify. So I believe I found a way to reproduce the symptoms atleast for my system. I asked a ...
