Agreed.
No launch options. Do your scheduling right on those duo chiplet AMD x3Ds and you're good.
Game keeps being updated, keep it stock. Trust me, the extra options you add either don't work or harm in the most cases.
In cs go yes in cs2 no,when you in game type in console sys_info and look for "Engine thread pool:"
In my case i5 6600 it was Engine thread pool: 3 thread(s),after launch option "-threads 5" when i go in game and check sys_info it says: "Engine thread pool: 4 thread(s)" ,do benchmark and compare i show this to at least 3 people everyone did benchmark before and after, all of themdid have 20 or 30 % increase in fps, check it,it will not cost you anything if dont like it delete the launch option.
Yes, I've seen people on X claiming it did boost FPS in some cases. But none of them did end-to-end latency test, so I can't recommend it. If someone brings that test in addition as proof, I am happy to stand corrected. I have tried it on my 5800X3D with no benefit.
Ok,but in your case the i think it must be -threads 17 did you try it like that ?
By default 5800X3D gets 7 threads to run the game, with no launch options, I tried running on 8 threads and on all 16 threads. The results are almost the same, marginal differences.
All in all I get slightly better lows and avg FPS with no launch options. It's marginal, but there.
If you wanna get even better lows you disable SMT.
I cannot recommend running this games on all CPUs, It does not make sense. You need free CPUs for other stuff.
If you own a 5800X3D, leave it default and disable SMT to boost lows a bit. End of story for this CPU.
FPSHeaven guy on X is running his tests with capped FPS, which I would never do to benchmark anything like that, so he might get weird results. This shit is getting spread around on X fast, but people don't test for themselves and blindly adopt the settings.
