After installing the latest nvidia drivers, some games did start working somewhat better with pulsar with reflex + vsync on but it's still a mixed bag. Some games play nice with reflex, others don't and require riva tuner frame pacing to help smooth out frame times.

Another brilliant idea (or at least I think so) couldn't nvidia enable better looking single pulse ULMB 2 strobing in the 25" mode since the top and bottom has black bars wouldn't that allow you to effectively hide some of the crosstalk from the top and bottom in the black bars and still get better strobing in the 25" picture in the middle? I'm sure they can implement such a thing. Still waiting on that asus update...

I tried this for you on my RTX 5090, desktop is set to 10-bit SDR mode at 360Hz, GTA IV which I know doesn't do fake fullscreen / borderless also set to 360Hz and it works just fine, monitor recovers back to G-sync/Pulsar enabled mode and runs the game fine.rexbinary wrote: ↑07 May 2026, 00:10Sorry I missed your post. Even if my monitor were to go to sleep in WoW because that game enforces sleep after like 20-30min regardless of windows setting it recovers back into the game fine on my end, no black screens, but WoW is borderless.
This is based on Windows 10 22H2 x64 Pro + ESU and 596.21 drivers.
It may very likely just be that DSC on older DP 1.4 videocards is just causing a myriad of problems like this.
Unfortunately my older G-sync PG279Q panel doesn't recover G-sync automatically despite it being enabled in the NVCP so I have to keep toggling it to fix it. 591.44 was the first driver I noticed this happening and it has been the same ever since. Not sure what is up with that and whether it affects more older panels.
