You need to set the strobe phase from 100 to 0 on the service menu.

1) Turn of the monitor
2) Click and hold second button + power button on the monitor until it powers on
3) Click the 4th button to bring up the service menu

Yeah the V4 AMA presets are a good improvement over V2 (I have the XL2411Z) so thanks to everyone for the information and the installation steps!

Since after the firmware flashing some of the advanced monitor settings reset this is what you need to do if blur busters tool gives you an error with V4 ...

I made a Ubuntu USB boot disk and successfully booted into it, but I have never used Linux before. So I do not know what I'm doing.
I got the v4 firmware for the XL 2720Z and want to update from V2 to V4.

Only way is to try different VT tweak totals.
Also the artifacts may vary between different monitors of the same brand, too. One of my VG248QE's showed this "scanlines" type artifact pretty obviously at 120hz lightboost, while a 2nd VG248QE barely showed it at all.

I don't think they will reset. The tool only helps you do the same as you would from the BenQ service (hidden) menu.
Some good settings are ~1.0ms persistence - 0 crosstalk (all the way to the left). That would reduce brightness a lot so you should put 100 for brightness and also use the VT tweak if ...

There won't be any issue. 125Hz is better for your mouse, by the way, because it will syncronize perfectly (1000Hz mouse/125Hz monitor=8, or 500/125=4, or 125/125=1).

Here's my settings, it seems to work since if I apply the default resolution (1920x1080 @ 144hz) which is listed in the list there is a difference in brightness. Are those the values you are using as well? I hope there's no issue using these settings for 24/7 usage?
