Re: Recommended Monitor for Steam Machine
P.s. some practical advice for you personally. I really think you should wait for the ps6 to launch. That will set the value/price standard for the next decade . The closest hardware that will launch after it will be rtx 6xxx refresh in 2027. Or worst case rtx 7xxx and rdna 6 a year after. Surely ...

Re: Recommended Monitor for Steam Machine
27" (PPI is lower for 1080p but the size feels perfect)
I've seen 27" at 1080p and it is not easy on the eyes.
If you're going with 1080p, stick to 24". If you want a larger monitor then I would recommend a 27" 1440p.
But given the specs announced for the steam machine, I'd say 1080p is your ...

1440p 500hz vs 4K 240hz also QD-OLED text clarity is AWFUL
tl;dr just wait for text clarity to be fixed, don’t bother buying OLED yet.
I recently had the chance to try a:
27” 1440p 500hz QD-OLED monitor
27” 4K 240Hz QD-OLED monitor to finally see what all of the hype is all about surrounding OLED, or more specifically QD-OLED.
Here are some key ...

Re: Question about Asus 1440p 540hz OLED
I tested the 500hz QD-OLED and the text clarity was awful. I personally wouldn't bother buying any OLEDs until they finally resolve the subpixel layout issue. I don't think you're getting your money's worth. Any form of text or anything with a noticeable outline will just look bad.

Re: Motion Blur 144Hz vs 240Hz
From my own personal experience:
LCD 60hz = Perfect for me personally, I don't mind it at all. But of course, a slight disadvantage in competitive/fast paced games. But still does the job and can still reach the top of the leaderboard
LCD 144hz = Too much blur, needs to be reduced, doesn't feel ...

Re: Asus ROG XG27ACS all screen is full of defects (3 units same issues)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defective_pixel
Dead pixels by the looks of it. It's rare, and isn't the norm. Usually it's just one or two pixels, not several. I'd return it and just buy a new monitor model at this rate, once or twice is unlucky. But three times? Sounds like a defective model at ...

Re: TN vs IPS - IPS glow sucks and I hate the internet!
Yep, pretty much summed up my experience testing an IPS monitor. IPS Glow is an unfortunate dealbreaker for me personally as well. I'd much rather stick with TN since the contrast is much better. I also hate the common phrase that TN panel viewing angles are bad - sure if you're not directly in ...

Re: OLED and counter-strike 2 experience
sometimes I can do insane shots, but sometimes like bullets not register and hitboxes are broken, also I started to afraid 1on1 moments because just lost confidence can I kill or not, like game become random
How many matches did you play with the OLED roughly?
How many with the IPS panel after ...

Re: Monitors with Matte Coating are Putrid Monstrosities
There's nothing wrong with matte monitors lol. I don't want my screen to be a mirror with constantly having to focus on a reflection and what's on screen.
Glossy is only great if you're sat in the dark with no light on getting eye strain.
