My thoughts were why not try to connect headphones through external power and through an optical connector S/PDIF which is less prone to interference, and finally set the volume to 100 in windows, and adjust it with the DAC

The receiver does not control the data rate.

That means it doesn't matter what DAC you use; this will change nothing in PC performance.
