Re: Experiences with BIOS downgrading
Anyways, the question stands for people with newer CPUs and their experiences with BIOS updates.
On my Asus B550m motherboard, you can downgrade the BIOS version without any worries. Just download the file to a USB flash drive, plug it in, and hold down the BIOS update button. That's it. This ...

Re: PC is more responsive after 4 am.
Your computer becomes responsive at 4 am only because most people are asleep at this time and electrical appliances that cause interference in the power grid are turned off. Roughly speaking, interference in the power grid affects the responsiveness of the computer. I conducted experiments for ...

Please advise me on a good Windows build.
Hi everyone. Please recommend a stable and balanced custom build of Windows 11. I've been using Atlas OS recently, but it's been running a bit slow on my computer, and it hasn't been updated for a while.
You need a build with disabled services, such as Cortana, Neirosearch, Xbox DVR, and others.

Re: [Leaks] Tier 1 tweaks (low latency)
Hi, I'm leaking you tier 1 settings. :ugeek:
Please explain what "leaking" means in this context.
These settings are used on the pro stage
How many processes do you have in your system now?
In my win11 pro almost 130 after installation, but after applying atlas os tweaks about 80 ...

Re: Inconsistent mouse movement for years over multiple pcs.
First, you get different process IDs every time you restart Windows. This already changes everything as I found that some conbinations provide good input and good performance and others will feel like there is something wrong with the computer.

Steam OS for PC
Many people have mouse problems and inconsistent input due to unstable operation of the Windows operating system. As you know, any action in Windows (for example, disabling devices in the task manager, changing the power plan) makes the mouse feel different.
Windows has many problems.

Re: Exploring the link between C-states and latency
for some reason i get worse kernel timer latency with c-state off (z790).
im use enable c-state + set c0, it feel better and fix my kernel timer latency.
You can limit to C1 (not C1E) only since C0 locks the CPU frequency to its maximum and disables dynamic frequency scaling. Windows ...
